FENTON DRILL PRACTICES LOCKDOWN AND BARRICADING
Posted on 09/25/2019

Students and staff at Fenton High School participated in a safety drill Wednesday morning (Sept. 25). The focus of the drill was to practice lockdown and barricading of classrooms in the case of a school emergency.
Administrators, security staff and police were present during the drill to observe and check the classroom doors. We hope nobody was alarmed by the activity.
This training is part of a larger effort to make our school safe and secure. Our staff and students have been trained on ALICE principles which stand for Alert, Lockdown/Barricade, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate. Wednesday's drill focused only on one component of the training, which is the lockdown/barricade process.
School safety is our top priority at Fenton High School and we appreciate your support.
