Update from Interim Superintendent Bentsen

Dear Fenton School Community,

Thank you to the 418 families that took time out of their day to meet with teachers during Tuesday’s Parent Teacher Conferences. One of our beliefs is that school and home collaborate as one. I encourage all parents and guardians to stay in touch with our teachers and communicate regularly. Let’s set goals and work toward them together.

Our Financial Aid Night was well attended. Thank you to Mrs. Georgakis and Mrs. To for the very informative presentations. Navigating college can be challenging but our team is here to help.

I also want to thank our Director of Equity, Mr. Lorenzo Rubio, and his partners at Roots and Wings for organizing a great resource fair to offer families any support they might need in raising a family in our wonderful community.

Another thing that makes our community great is the love for performing arts. Last weekend’s fall play show “The One Act Play The Goes Wrong” was extremely well done and very funny. The audience couldn’t stop laughing.

Finally, as the fall season wraps up I want to congratulate the Girls Flag Football team on a great first season. This 2024 - 2025 season was the first year as an official IHSA sports and the first time anyone does something is always the most difficult. Fenton is proud of our Lady Bison for their perseverance, ingenuity, and school pride.

Fall Play Entertains Big Crowds with Big Falls and Hilarious Mistakes

Fenton’s 2024 Fall Play “The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong” was a hit during its public shows on October 10, 11, and 12th.

It was the story of a group of accident-prone actors that battle against all odds to get through their murder mystery show despite a plethora of hilarious mistakes and mishaps. It’s a shortened version of the popular Broadway show "The Play That Goes Wrong."

Stage Manager Lucy Johnson is also an intern with the Bensenville Media team at Bensenville Village Hall. A variety of student actors joined Lucy on Friday, October 18 for a special laughter-filled recap of the play in a Spotlight on Fenton High School. The spotlight segment will air in a few weeks.
