Update from Superintendent Bentsen

Dear Fenton School Community,

I’m so excited and thankful to report back on a record breaking Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, October 17. We had 1,478 scheduled conferences, of which 340 virtual and 1,138 were in-person here at Fenton.

What was even more exciting is how many students came with their parents and saw their teachers and family working together to build a plan for success.

Thank you to our amazing teachers for going above and beyond to build connections with our Fenton Families. And a special thank you to our National Honor Society students who helped families navigate the building and Field House.

National Honor Society students help parents navigate Parent-Teacher Conferences

We encourage parents to stay in touch and follow your jointly created plan, modify as needed while keeping in touch with teachers.

We also have other ways parents can be involved at Fenton. Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), Padres Unidos, Polish Parent Outreach, and Music Boosters are all groups families can join to stay connected and participate throughout the year.

We’re also continuing our partnership with the Glenbard Parent Series. It’s a large group of area schools working together to find guest speakers and produce informative literature to help families navigate life with a growing teenager.

Most programs in the Glenbard Parent Series programs are virtual and can be joined from home over the internet, and all presentations are free. We invite you to bookmark their website https://gpsparentseries.org/ and sign up for their emails.

The photos will be available for purchase by creating an account or logging into your existing account at www.lifetouch.com/. Parents also should have received emails directly from Lifetouch with links to their student’s photos.

For those who have not already ordered photos, pre-orders for the November 14 retakes can be made on the Lifetouch website with code EVT9HPHHD.

Extra paper order forms are also available in the main office and counseling office.
