Update from Superintendent Ongtengco

Dear Fenton Families,

Final Exams are about a week away, which means it's crunch time. We've had a long semester full of rich learning and incredible student efforts. Now is the time to catch up on any lingering assignments and then focus on preparing for this final demonstration.

Below is a schedule for Fenton’s Semester 1 Final Exams. Each teacher has their own expectations for their class. Students should make sure they fully understand their teachers’ instructions.

2023-2024 1st Semester Finals Schedule

Breakfast & Lunch
Breakfast will be available for students upon arrival.  Grab and Go Lunch will be available as students depart.

Tutoring & Academic Support
Tutoring, academic support, or a quiet place to study will be available during testing hours in the ARC.

And, of course, students can utilize these resources in the days leading up to finals. The academic support center in room 220 is open each period of the day and at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. After School tutoring also is available Monday through Thursday from 3:20 to 4:20 p.m. in room 218 -- students can take a late bus home.

Photo Students Alphabetize the Farm

Photo 1 students with Ms. JoAnna Rieger visited the Bensenville Park District’s Fischer Farm in November and roamed the land to find items that resemble each letter of the alphabet. Students later uploaded their photos and created composite graphics with all the would-be letters together. Tip of the cap to all our creative eyes in Ms. Rieger’s class!

From Computer Graphics to Commercially Printed Merchandise

Students in Graphics and Advanced Graphics classes with Ms. Lauren Lemm visited the Schiele Group in Elk Grove where they toured two of their factories. Schiele Group produced free large decal stickers for Fenton to place inside and outside of the school. Company officials also gave each student a free Fenton sticker for their laptops.

Three students in Advanced Graphics designed banners for Fenton to use in official business, and the students were able to watch their hard work get printed during the visit.
