Dear Fenton Families,

Superintendent Sam Bentsen, Principal Kate Ward, and the entire staff of Fenton High School invite all parents and guardians to our Open House on Thursday, September 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
 
We have redesigned the evening to make it more engaging, flexible, and family-friendly. Here’s what to expect:
  • 6:00 p.m. – Principal’s Welcome in the Auditorium for English speaking families or in the ARC for Spanish speaking families
  • 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. – Meet the Teacher Event

Instead of following a bell-to-bell version of your student’s schedule, you will have the chance to move at your own pace and visit the teachers and subject areas that are a priority to you. Each department will be stationed in a designated area of the school. Families will receive an electronic copy of their student’s schedule via ParentSquare that will indicate each teacher’s location.
 
Upon arriving at Fenton next Thursday, you will receive a school map with all locations clearly marked. Student volunteers from the National Honor Society will be in the hallways to assist parents and guardians.
 

Important Notes:

  • This is not Parent-Teacher Conferences. The purpose of the evening is to meet your child’s teachers, learn about the class, ask general questions, and pick up a syllabus. Counselors will also be available.
  • Interactions should be casual and brief so that teachers are able to greet as many families as possible.
  • If you have more than one student at Fenton, you’ll be able to visit teachers and counselors from both schedules in one evening.
  • Various information tables and resources will be set up in the commons. There will be Fenton spirit wear available for purchase.
 
We hope this new format makes it easier for you to connect with teachers, gather information about classes, and enjoy being part of the Fenton community.
