event of an extreme weather emergency, Fenton families will be notified
through the School Messenger alert phone system if the cancellation of school or late start schedule will occur. This information will also be
posted to the Fenton website, Facebook page, Twitter, Instagram and communicated to
the following radio and news outlets:

When the forecast of snow happens, we wanted to share the procedures for decisions regarding emergency notifications.
The DuPage County Superintendents have conference calls regularly during the evening and early morning when the conditions are expected to impact safe travel to/from school. These conversations, along with input from Wood Dale 7 and Bensenville 2 Superintendents, will contribute to the decision to close school or institute a late-start plan. The decision will be made prior to 5:30am and will be shared with parents, staff and community at that time.
