Saturday, April 22 is Fenton's Annual Senior Citizen Spring Musical Matinee and luncheon. To reserve seats, please call our hotline at 630-860-8620 before 12 pm noon on Wednesday, April 12.

Join us at Fenton for our 2nd annual Spring Kermes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fenton stadium. The Kermes event is cosponsored by the Bensenville Park District and will feature activities for the entire family, including traditional Latino dishes, a soccer tournament, 5K race, a live band, Mariachi, and more. All proceeds will go toward Fenton students.

Parents are invited to participate in the 2022-23 annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey, which is operated by the University of Chicago. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school.

In partnership with the DuPage Regional Office of Education, Fenton High School is offering a Parent Education Event on May 16 regarding school attendance. This parent event is designed to assist with questions and support if your child is exhibiting signs of anxiety, refusing to come to school, or has interrupted school attendance.

The Board of Education at Fenton Community High School District 100 voted on March 16 to proceed with a referendum seeking voter approval to modernize and expand Fenton High School.

Due to the certification of the board election, the April Regular Board of Education Meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, 2021 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 7 pm in the Academic Resource Center (ARC). Our May Board Meeting will still take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 7 pm in the ARC.

The Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois State Board of Education recently provided revised guidance on the reopening of schools. In lieu of what would have been the 95th ANNUAL BAND AND CHOIR CONCERT, a series of YouTube videos available in this article are the FHS Holiday 2020 "concert." They are a demonstration of what the Music Department has been working on this "2nd Quarter". The students prepared both individually (practicing with practice tracks), and in live rehearsals and sectionals. We are so very proud of these students and all of their hard work!

Fenton is staying in Remote Learning through at least the end of the first semester, but we are being proactive and planning for the possibility of a hybrid schedule at some point during the second semester. In order to plan appropriately, we need to know if you prefer to stay in Remote Learning for the rest of the year or if you would prefer your child participate in a hybrid/in-person schedule, when safety allows.

As Fenton continues to follow safety guidelines and monitor public health metrics, we have determined that it is not yet safe to bring large numbers of students into the building. During Governor JB Pritzker's February 19 budget address, he recognized Fenton High School students and staff for expanding the Advanced Placement program across all racial and ethnic and income groups, and he highlighted Fenton's AP District of the Year honor.

College of DuPage is offering free English and citizenship classes are available this August and September at Fenton High School and the Bensenville Public Library.

We have a recognition program at Fenton called "Fenton Faces." This program acknowledges dedicated students for their outstanding aptitude, participation, or specific contributions to a class.

Fenton’s band and choir ensembles performed a joint Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 15 before a standing room only audience in the auditorium.

Principal Jovan Lazarevic recently learned that 27 Fenton students were selected for recognition by the State Scholar Program because of their outstanding academic achievements.

Veterans Day at Fenton High School included a tribute video and students winning a local essay contest.

Victor Aristakessian, a Fenton senior, was given Bensenville’s 2019 Breiter-Cuvala Volunteer Award during an Oct. 24 volunteer appreciation banquet.

Virginia Salazar was named a Commended Student in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program for her score on the Preliminary SAT last year.

A public hearing regarding Fenton's proposed E-Learning program is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in the Fenton High School Academic Resource Center (ARC), 1000 West Green Street, Bensenville, IL.

In the event Fenton High School must close due to an emergency or inclement weather, E-Learning would continue lessons and produce evidence of learning at standards required by law.
