February 6, 2019

Parents and Students,

As of today, Fenton has used 4 out of 5 emergency days that the Illinois State Board of Education requires be scheduled into the school calendar. If no other emergency days are used this year, the last day of school will be Friday, May 31. Obviously, if one more emergency day is used, we will have used our allocation and the last day will be Monday, June 3rd.

If we go beyond the 5 emergency days, the District will seek approval for “Act of God” days. These days must be approved by both the DuPage Regional and State Superintendent of Education. Once approved, these days are not made up and do not negatively impact the General State Aid which Fenton receives.

If you have any questions, please call 630-860-8621.

5Essentials Survey

Please help to make Fenton High School better. The opportunity is running out to complete the 5Essentials Survey. The survey should only take about 10 minutes. Complete the parent survey at https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/

This is your chance to shape Fenton’s initiatives.

Winter Kids Dance Camp

Dance Force will host their Winter Kids Dance Camp on Friday, February 15th from 5:15 to 7:15 in Gym 3. The dancers will then perform at half-time of the Varsity Boys basketball game.

Drop off your children with us and go enjoy a Valentine's Date Night! $20 per dancer. If we have enough matching t-shirts, each camper will be given one to perform in at the game. Please have your child wear black bottoms and a blue t-shirt just in case we do not have enough.

Is your child going to be a Freshman next year?

If so, please note that  Illinois School Code requires that all incoming Freshman present proof of having a dental exam by a dentist.  Give Kids A Smile Day will provide a free dental exam and the required dental form will be completed! Please consider attending one of these screenings to meet this requirement.
