Doors open at 6:30, and admission is free; however, we will be collecting canned goods to distribute in the community. Come join us for a night of student written, directed, and acted theater. We hope to see you there!

Bensenville-Wood Dale Rotary Coat Drive and Bensenville Toy and Food Drive

Since 2001, Bensenville-Wood Dale Rotary has provided more than 10,000 local children and families in need with warmcoats, mittens, hats, and scarfs for the winter. This year, in partnership with Operation Warm, Rotary is aiming to raise $8,000 to buy 400 new coats for children of all ages and sizes, and we are seeking sponsors to support this effort. Donations can be made online at www.operationwarm.org/BensenvilleRotary

Make the holidays a little brighter for the families right here in Bensenville by donating new and unwrapped toys, new or gently used coats and new hats, scarves and non-perishable food items at Fenton High School before December 1. There is a box in the front office.

STAY WARM: Rotary to provide 'Coats for Families' on December 8

The Bensenville-Wood Dale Rotary Club will distribute new and gently used coats during its 17th annual Coats for Families event, which will be held Saturday, December 8, from 9-11 a.m. at W.A. Johnson School, 252 Ridgewood Avenue, Bensenville.

Coats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be present to receive a coat. If a child has a coat in good condition that doesn’t fit, you are encouraged to exchange it. Adult coats will also be available on a limited basis.

Bensenville-Wood Dale Rotary’s Coats for Families event is held in conjunction with the Village of Bensenville’s 48th Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Residents can support these efforts by donating new and unwrapped toys, new or gently used coats, and new hats, scarves and non-perishable food items at donation boxes located throughout the community through December 3. Fenton has a box located in the front office.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train’s December 6 stop in Bensenville
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is nearly 1,000 feet long with 14 rail cars, each decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights in holiday designs, and it will be visiting Bensenville for the first time this year.

The train is scheduled to arrive at the corner of south York Road and east Railroad Avenue at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 6.

Be sure to arrive early to get a good view of the lights and the live musical performances by popular Canadian rock act The Trews and Wisconsin singer-songwriter Willy Porter.

Parking will be available on Railroad Avenue, as well as downtown, around Village Hall.

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train raises awareness of local food and hunger issues by encouraging attendees to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to a local pantry. All donations will benefit the Bensenville Wood Dale Food Pantry.

Distracted Driving

The video at this link is written and produced by teens in conjunction with the Illinois Secretary of State's Office, as part of a continuing effort to raise awareness regarding distracted driving.  Please watch the video and consider the implications of the choices you make as a driver, or the choices you make when someone else is driving, about distractions while on the road.
