Fenton Students Win 2019 NCTE Achievement Award in Writing

Congratulations to Nayelli Maldonado and Malien Tingpalpong for receiving Certificates of Superior Writing in the National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards in Writing program.

Only 210 juniors from eligible participants from the United States, Canada, and other areas were selected for this distinction.

Jazline Barriga also deserves special recognition for receiving a Certification of Nomination.

Mr. Tony Oakson said, "While Fenton has had students who earned this distinction at times in the past, having two students selected this year makes our 2019 results especially exciting for us."

Rebecca Norris, together with Mr. Oakson, worked through this nomination and submission process, and are grateful for the contributions of all these students' teachers.
