Mark A. Roth, Ph.D. - Class of 1975
During his four years at Fenton, Dr. Roth was a member of the Glee Club, Choir, and the National Honor Society.
After graduating from Fenton in 1975, Dr. Roth went to the Illinois Institute of Technology where he received his bachelor’s degree in computer science. He continued on to the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. There he was a distinguished graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps and earned his masters degree in computer systems. After receiving his master’s degree, Dr. Roth’s first assignment was as a programmer and analyst on the Theater War Exercise, a computer-assisted theater-level wargame. Dr. Roth completed his doctorate in computer science from the University of Texas.
Dr. Roth’s computer science career has spanned over 25 years. He is the author of 20 professional publications and 12 technical reports.
During his free time, Dr. Roth volunteers at his church in various positions such as Choir Director and Youth Group Counselor. Dr. Roth resides in Nebraska with his wife Cheryl, who is also a Fenton class of 1975 graduate, and their three children David, Gary, and Julie.
Dr. Audrey Wagner - Class of 1945
Dr. Audrey Wagner graduated from Bensenville Community High School in 1945. While in high school Audrey was a member of the Student Council, the Girls Athletic Association, the Glee Club, and the bowling league.
At age 15, while still attending high school, Dr. Wagner was chosen to play in the All American Girls Baseball League. This is the same league that was immortalized in the movie “A League of Their Own.” Dr. Wagner won the batting crown, set a new league record, and earned the title of Player of the Year. She went on to play in the National Girls Baseball League.
While playing baseball, Dr. Wagner attended Elmhurst College where she received her bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine. She then went on to the University of Illinois where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree.
Some of Dr. Wagner’s hobbies included earning her private pilots license, photography, serving on the Crescent City Council in California. She was also a professional auctioneer and enjoyed scuba diving.
