The Fenton Chess Club/Team is an inclusive program that welcomes all students interested in chess. Students can drop in to play for fun or develop their skills for a chance to compete in tournaments and matches. Chess pre-seasons starts in August and the regular season runs from October until mid-February. Players with no experience and of all abilities levels are welcome. The chess team competes in tournaments, the Upstate Eight Conference, and the IHSA State Series.
Students can learn more about the Fenton Chess program by joining the Google Classroom (check the chess bulletin board in the science hallway for the code) or by contacting a coach.
