ACADEMIC TEAM

 

The Academic Team competes in Scholastic Bowl, a statewide contest in which two teams vie to answer questions about literature, math, science, history, art, music, sports, and a variety of other subjects. Like Jeopardy!, players buzz in to answer toss-up questions, then work as a team to solve multipart bonuses. Our team usually holds practices after school, beginning in September, and we compete in weekday matches and Saturday tournaments. Our season ends in March with regional, sectional, and state level meets. If you like Trivial Pursuit and game shows, have a favorite class you think is “easy,” or just want to show off what you learned last year, then come and join us! This activity is for all students who enjoy learning new things and are eager for some friendly competition.
